Red Ball Rally is an enjoyable and welcoming weekly match play event designed specifically for kids aged 5 to 8.
Utilizing Red Stage equipment and modified courts, children get to play real tennis matches in a supportive setting tailored to their size, skill level, and confidence.
Participants experience the thrill of competition while developing essential tennis skills, learning good sportsmanship, and building a genuine love for the game.
As part of the national Hot Shots Tennis pathway, Red Ball Rally is an excellent stepping stone for young players—and a fantastic opportunity for families to get involved and support their child’s progress.
Each week, one exceptional player will be recognised with a Good Sportsmanship Award, typically accompanied by a Henry’s meal voucher, so they can celebrate with their family at their local Canberra Southern Cross Club.
Session Details:
🗓 Saturdays — 12:00pm to 12:45pm
💰 $15 per session
Participants of the Red Ball Rally Matchplay have the opportunity to enter The Australian Open 2026 Family Trip Prize - for the chance to win a trip to the AO with the family, and all expenses paid at the end of the season. You must enter the draw to be in the running, see information below:
Competition is open to permanent residents of Australia.
Competition opens 23/06/25 at 9am AEDT
Competition closes on 31/10/25 at 10am AEDT.
